Hatha Yoga classes with elements of restorative Yoga

Regular classes

My regular classes are Hatha yoga classes organised around a yogic theme. Physical postures (asanas) are always accompanied by some pranayama or meditation exercises. I conclude the class with a relaxation practice that includes some elements of restorative yoga.  Through physical yoga practice, we can create the inner space to connect with our emotions. Through breathing exercises, we can expand our awareness. And through meditation, we can 'still' the mind and create greater clarity in our life.

The groups are relatively small. The aim of practicing together is to find in this commitment also a community with whom to exchange in an authentic way.

Business classes

Wellbeing at work is increasingly recognized as a priority for society, employees and employers.

Yoga can offer a lot of benefits for different type of workers: physical practice can reduce back pains and stiffness for those who spend a lot of time in a seated position. But yoga can also help releasing stress and increase focus of any type of workers. Practices such as breathing exercises (pranayama) or meditation can activate the vagus nerve and bring various benefits to the overall wellbeing of human beings.

An employee that takes care of his wellbeing will be more resilient to stress and to long term sicknesses.  In addition, practicing yoga together with colleagues can generate an additional sense of community. Finally, organizing yoga classes in the workspace, will also bring a more human and caring culture in the business.

I will offer Hatha yoga classes along the lines of my regular yoga classes with physical postures (asanas), breathing exercises, short meditations and final relaxation with some elements of restorative yoga.

I will offer classes in the workspace only if there is a commitment from the employer to ensure a medium term offer of minimum 3 months to their employees. It is only with regular commitment that the benefits of yoga can be experienced.

“Flaminia is a fabulous teacher. She has transformed the way I think about yoga (which I practised for many years before but never like this) and my body. Flaminia brings raw authenticity to her classes and a deep conviction that we all deserve to feel better about ourselves and grateful. Flaminia's classes are the only time I have felt a deep connection between body and mind - that I was moving not to exercise but to be whole.”

— Adam, Yoga Student

Flaminia teaches yoga in a holistic way, using her body, mind and heart. Her passion for well-being and enthusiasm for spiritual growth is contagious and I always feel uplifted after following one of her classes. She prepares the lessons carefully and the preselected themes are much appreciated. She balances well the collective flow of the class with individual attention, as needed. She is very attentive to her students and I feel heard, seen and cared for in her class. Her teaching goes beyond the yoga mat, as she motivates her students to connect with themselves and become the best version of themselves - like lotus flowers, blossoming through muddy waters.
